FAQ's
Most questions asked before the trip.
Where
Do We Meet? We'll discuss boat
ramps and times when you book your trip, but you can check out some of my most
frequently used boat ramps on this link: BOAT
RAMPS.
Do I need to bring a cooler? I keep a cooler
on board stocked with ice for you to keep whatever drinks and food you bring or
you may bring your own. If you plan on keeping your catch, you may want to bring
a cooler with ice to leave in your vehicle to keep your fish cold until you get
home.
Where will we fish? That depends on the the
type of fishing you like to do and the time of year that you schedule your
charter. We may fish the grass flats, Pensacola Bay, the pass, The ICW or
inlets, along the beaches, and even residential canals.
What species will we target? We could fish for
Reds, Trout, Jacks, Ladyfish, King mackerel, Spanish mackerel, Sheepshead,
Pompano, or any of the many fish that live in the Pensacola Bay area. When
you book your trip, I will let you know what fish to best target.
Can I keep my fish to eat? Will you clean them?
Yes. And yes, again. Of course, depending on fishing regulations and seasonal
limits, we may also practice catch and release. I do like to release as many
fish as possible to insure that you have fish to catch the next time we fish
together, but you can feel free to catch your limit.
I have my own boat. Can I book you to teach me the
area? Call me to set this up.
I have younger children who would like to learn to fish. Can I
bring them along? Certainly! I have many families that
book me each year, and I even taught my own son how to fish when he was younger.
Will we need to bring our own fishing poles and bait? No, I'll have
all the baits, lures, etc. that we need already on board. Unless, of course, you
would like to learn how to catch bait, which can be a fun way to get the day
started, especially for the younger kids.
Is
there a bathroom on board?
No, but there are plenty of places between fishing spots that we can stop.
Can
you accommodate large groups?
Absolutely. With my network of skilled, qualified, licensed, and insured
captains, we can accommodate almost any size group.
