Inshore
Fishing Machine The Mega-Bite
24ft Sea Pro - 250
4 stroke
In
2009, I added a Power-Pole to the boat and this has revolutionized my shallow
water fishing.
We
can hold up on a spot and work an area thoroughly to catch quality fish. To read
more about this new addition to my rig, check out their website at www.powerpole.com
My
Sea Pro is a fishing machine, at 24 ft long and 9ft wide, and with its shallow
draft and Carolina bow, I can ease into the shallow water flats in search of
specks and reds or head offshore-- 9miles or less--on calm days. Whatever type
of fishing you prefer, I can take you
to one of many reefs off the coast of Pensacola to bring home some red snapper
or grouper for dinner.

The
boat is also equipped with upper and lower control stations, and I can spot fish from
a
distance
to make your fishing trip more successful. With a beam of 9ft in width and a length of
24 ft, I can
fish up to four people comfortably. I also have state of the art electronics for locating
fish, and
also have a 81 lb thrust MinnKota trolling motor for easing
up in the
shallows to stalk reds and specks.

The
workhorse of the boat is my 250 hp - 4stroke Yamaha. It has enough power to cruise
at
a
steady 40mph with four fishermen plus myself and a full load of tackle, but if
needed the boat can fly across the bay at 50+mph. If bad weather moves in, we can
get off the water safely and quickly. The real
treat of
this motor is how quiet it is, and it does not have any fumes.
The
design of my boat can handle a chop, so if the bay gets bumpy you will never feel
it.
I
venture offshore when it's calm (around 2ft or less). Many days during the summer it stays very
calm in the gulf. I stay within 9 miles of land, so it's
not a far run to
many
reefs that hold bottom fish.
If
you're interested in going offshore for bottom fish or trolling for king, wahoo,
or
mahi-mahi, give me a shout, and we'll see if we can get you hooked-up. I only venture offshore when it's calm, but many days in the gulf
during the summer months the gulf are very fishable in my boat. So what are you waiting
for? Let's get you hooked up on the Mega-Bite!

Here
is my trophy fish from 2007. My first Wahoo ever, and it was over 50lbs. We were just
offshore trolling for kings after a good day of red snapper fishing, and this
monster hit the the middle rod that was deployed about 60yrds behind the boat.
After a 35 minute fight and 7 times around the boat, I had my trophy. The whole
time I was worried about a shark coming up and taking my prize.
